With a distinguished career in the medical device industry, Ms. Burns brings 25 years of experience leading innovation, driving commercial success, and shaping strategic vision. Her recent roles include Co-founder and CEO to both Cagent Vascular and Intact Vascular. She has held leadership roles at Embrella Cardiovascular (sold to Edwards Lifesciences), Animas (sold to J&J), Ventrica (sold to Medtronic) and Guidant Corporation. Ms. Burns has introduced disruptive therapies to the market including serration angioplasty, endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm, and endoscopic vein harvesting.

Moshe Zilversmit

CO-FOUNDER / CIO

Medical device entrepreneur with over 12 years of experience in medical device development. Moshe released the world’s first open source surgical device, which has been covered by Wired magazine and recognised by Discover Magazine as one of the top innovations of 2013.

Eoin Bambury

CO-FOUNDER / CTO

Over 24 years of experience in the research and development of novel medical devices. Eoin has contributed to the development of six medical devices currently on the market and is a named inventor on 28 granted patent filings. Eoin was awarded ‘Chartered Engineer of the Year 2012’ by Engineers Ireland.

Anthony Senagore, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Over 30 years of experience as an academic colorectal surgeon. Tony has participated in the research and development of a number of novel medical device and medical pharmaceutical products during his career. He has extensive medical payment policy and hospital revenue cycle, and quality management. He is a prior RUC and CPT advisor to the AMA and CMS.

Dennis McGrath

Finance & Business Advisor

Dennis M. McGrath’s vast executive management experience in private and public companies. Currently he serves as the President and CFO of PAVmed, Inc. (Nasdaq: PAVM), a diversified commercial-stage medical technology company and as the Chief Financial Officer of Lucid Diagnostics, Inc. (Nasdaq: LUCD), a PAVmed subsidiary, since the consummation of Lucid’s initial public offering. In addition, he serves as the audit and/or compensation committee chair of several public and private biopharmaceutical and medical device companies including Dario Health (Nasdaq: DRIO), Citius Pharma (Nasdaq: CTXR) and Citius Oncology (Nasdaq: CTOR).

Jeff is an intellectual property specialist with more than 25 years of experience in early stage medtech companies.  Jeff previously served as a Managing Partner at  successful incubator The Foundry and holds a JD from the University of Washington and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford.

Bernard Collins

Dr Collins is a leading expert in the medical technology sector and serves on the Board of Directors of several US and Irish life-science companies. A former Vice President of International Operations for Boston Scientific, where he served for 10 years, Dr Collins has held a number of senior executive positions in international life-science companies during his career.

Alan Levy

Alan brings more than 40 years of experience in the medical device industry. Alan is involved with multiple life science companies as a CEO and as a board member and was a Senior Advisor to Frazier Healthcare Partners. Alan is an expert in bioabsorbable materials and the inventor of Vicryl, an absorbable surgical suture. 

Liam Farrissey

Liam has held a number of senior technical, commercial and business development roles in the medical device industry over the past 20 years. He brings strong experience in commercialising medical devices having worked closely with start-ups, multinational companies and “own design” products. Liam is the CEO of CrannMed, a Galway-based company focused on developing next generation resorbable embolization technologies.

Dr. Madhulika Varma, MD

Dr. Madhulika (Mika) Varma, chief of colorectal surgery at UCSF Medical Center, specializes in diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. Her areas of expertise include colorectal and anal cancer, inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, and pelvic floor disorders. She also is a specialist in treating many of these diseases using laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgical techniques.

Jeffrey Milsom, MD

Jeffrey Milsom, MD, FACS, is the former Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the Jerome J. Decosse, MD Professor of Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He serves as the Co-Director of the Center for Advanced Digestive Care. Dr. Milsom is an internationally renowned pioneer in minimally invasive surgery and state-of-the-art laparoscopic and endoscopic technologies for colorectal cancer, Crohn’s disease and other inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Milsom has been repeatedly recognized by Castle Connolly as one of “America’s Top Doctors,” by New York Magazine as one of New York’s “Best Doctors,” and as a “New York SuperDoctor”, an honor accorded just 5% of all New York physicians.
